VBS BLUES

Hi everyone I'm back!!!!!! This is one of those episodes not in my cassette collection, I just found it yesterday while prepping for a garage sale (If you live in Chico it's on Saturday the whatever next Saturday is.... Off of Garner Lane : ) ).

I listened to this episode last night and quite frankly it's hilarious. Here we are introduced to a room in Whit's End called the Little Theater, designed for the kids in Odyssey to be able to put on shows. This week the VBS Leader Ned (yes the same one from Camp Wut a Nut) along with lead actors Eugene Mugsford (Mugsy) and his gang are performing the story of Pool-Shack, Tool-Rack and Abillygoat. These three dudes are in the power of the King of Babble-on (he never shuts up :) ) all's going great till the King build a statue of gold and tells the people need to bow to it when the rock and roll plays. If they don't they'll get thrown into the furnace (ya know what they put trash in!!!). Guess what??? Pool-Shack, Tool-Rack and Abillygoat don't bow down and some dirty rats tell on them. Off they go into the furnace (WITHOUT A FIRE EXTIGHISHER!!! Sorry can't spell). But king babble-on notices that the dudes are playing cards and realizes there are now four men in the furnace. He calls them out and praises God for the miracle he has witnessed.

I case you haven't noticed that's not the way the story of Shadrack, Meshack and Abednigo goes in the Bible, and wasn't the way Ned planned it. But there it is in front of the whole church and city to see. And guess What (again)?? Everybody loved it.
